Today we learn about YouTube. This
is a video site that available to everyone. We could access it for free. There
are a lot of videos on YouTube such as movie trailers, full movies, educational
videos, music videos, and many more. YouTube site is a useful medium for
teachers that it could be used as a teaching material in classroom. I think it
is effective because students love watching videos like cartoons, comedy, and
etc. It could draw their attention to focus more to the activities in the
class. They would participate in every activities too if it is fun. They also
would gain knowledge and improve their language proficiency at the same time.
In class today we were divided into
three groups. Our task is to find a video and ways to use the video for the purpose
of learning. We chose this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgjDSfbB2ok
Students would watch the video and
give their own opinion about the video. They also could create their own plot
and the ending of the story in the video. It is actually enhancing the
students’ thinking skill and also encouraging them to be imaginative.
